- Description:
- V dejinách fyziky sa viac ráz zásadne zmenili spôsoby poznávania, či princípy systematizácie poznatkov a budovania fyzikálnych teórií. V článku stručne rozoberieme zmeny v chápaní vzťahu empírie a teórie, charakteru fyzikálnych zákonov, úplnosti či neúplnosti nášho opisu prírodných javov, príčinnosti, derminismu a indeterminizmu, vplyv pozorovateľa na proces merania, poslania a miesta matematiky vo fyzike. Objasníme, prečo nastali uvedené zmeny vo fyzikálnom poznávaní a ukážeme, že vznik každej významnej fyzikálnej teórie bol sprevádzaný zmenami tohto typu. and Juraj Šebesta.

- Description:
- Ivan Diviš’s My Eyes had to See (1987–1989) can be considered one of the finest poetic creations and performances of Czech poetry at the end of the 20th century. Its powerful effect lies in the fact that it combines poetic testimony, (auto)biographical intimacy, a suprapersonal, generally applicable message and a reflection on universal history and the modern Czech history of the last century in both fiction and fact. It is as if the identity of the poet is actually determined by the testimony: the poet is the one who sees, must see, and bear witness to what he sees.

- Description:
- At the beginning of the 20th century the task of reviewing all available literature across different scientific fields was initiated by professor Raýman, the general secretary of the Czech Academy of Emperor Franz Joseph for Science, Literature and Arts (CASLA). The first review for 1901 (in Czech language) appeared in the CASLA Bulletin during 1902. However, later, until the 1914 review, which was partially published in 1916, the reviews only consisted of physics reports. Usually, about five authors wrote the physical review covering different fields. Beginning in 1903, the review was also published as a separate book. The first 10 years of physical reviews referenced about 15 thousands papers from all available global literature., Jan Valenta., and Obsahuje bibliografii

- Description:
- This classic area of Silurian and Devonian stratigraphy provided a number of ecological and paleoenvironmental observations during the last decade. Comparative studies of spontaneous successions in abandoned quarries demonstrated that natural processes provide their optimum revitalization. New archaeological records, paleozoological evidence from caves and the discovery of a Late Bronze Age hillfort confirmed that the high biodiversity of this landscape has resulted from a harmonious interaction of natural processes with human activities since the 5th millennium BC. and Vojen Ložek.

10. Dějiny a rozpad Jugoslávie jako předmět historických sporů

- Description:
- Autor využívá recenze knihy srbských historiků Mileho Bjelajace a Gordany Krivokapić-Jovičové Příspěvky k odborné kritice: Srbská historiografie a svět. Na nich recenzent ukazuje vývojové trendy národních historiografií bývalé Jugoslávie od státní ideologie jugoslávské jednoty a bratrství přes „novou ortodoxii“ antikomunismu a antijugoslávství po rozpadu společného státu a novou politickou instrumentalizaci za balkánských válek až po současnou pluraliazaci přístupů a otevírání horizontů., In his review of this work, whose title translates as ‘Serbian Historiography and the World: The Influence that the Yugoslav Crisis Has Had on Historiography at Home and Abroad. Contributions to Specialist Criticism’, the reviewer offers more general considerations of the state of Serbian and post-Yugoslav historiography in the international context of research on the contemporary history of the South Slav countries. The two authors of the book, Mile Bjelajac and Gordana Krivokapić-Jović, represent, according to the reviewer, a trend in Serbian historiography, which has been able to free itself from the limitations of national history, positivist assimilation of mere facts, and national stereotypes; they are, in short, among the best historians in their country. The range of topics discussed in this volume cover the key problems of modern Serbian and Yugoslav history, such as the origin, existence, and causes of the demise of the shared state of the South Slavs. The reviewer uses these topic areas to show the trends in the development of the national historiographies of the former Yugoslavia, from the state ideology of Yugoslav unity and brotherhood to the ‘new orthodoxy’ of anti-Communism and anti-Yugoslavism, to the break-up of the shared state and the new instrumentalization of politics during the Yugoslav Wars, to the current pluralization of approaches and the opening up of new horizons., [autor recenze] Ondřej Vojtěchovský., and Obsahuje bibliografii
