Kr. Z více pozoruhodných zahloubených objektů jsou publikovány dva nejvýznamnější – zahloubená chata a dílenský objekt. Datování radiokarbonovou metodou AMS doplňuje relativní chronologii; fyzikálně chemický rozbor strusek z objektů a kapek tavenin na tyglících potvrdily práce s taveninami železa a bronzu na sídlišti; analýzy četných úlomků jantaru potvrzují transport této suroviny od Baltského moře. and The paper focuses on discoveries from the early La Tène settlement in Chržín, Kladno distr., providing documentation of rare production activities and long-distance contact with southern and northern Europe. New findings from this Central Bohemian low-land settlement are examined in the broader context of the cultural development of Europe in the 6th and 5th centuries B.C. Remarkable finds are offered by several sunken features, with only the two most significant published here – a sunken hut and a workshop feature. Relative chronology is supplemented by AMS radiocarbon dating. Physical and chemical analyses – X-ray diffraction, determination of selected trace elements (FAAS), electron microanalysis (EDX) – of slag from the features, and of drops of metal on the furnaces, have confirmed that iron and bronze were worked at the settlement; analyses of numerous amber fragments have confirmed that this raw material was transported from the Baltic sea; and information on a rondel made from a child’s skull was provided by an anthropological assessment.
Zlomky skleněných nádob z jímky svědčí o úrovni stolování ekonomicky nikoli nadprůměrné pražské domácnosti i o sortimentu dutého skla na pražském trhu ve 14. století. and On a lot in the northern part of the New Town in Prague, the remains of a partly sunken building from the 12th century, or the start of the 13th century, were excavated. The ever increasing numbers of finds of such features are evidence of the intensity of settlement in this part of the early medieval Prague agglomeration, only in this case dating is possible on the basis of a vessel, containing offerings, set in the floor. The authors situate the demise of the building within the context of events that affected this area in the 1230s, in connection with the sovereign’s plan to establish the (first) Town of Prague. Another unearthed feature was a cesspit: its content corresponds with contemporary reports about sudden formation of these outskirts during the first half of the 14th century. Fragments of glass vessels from this cesspit testify to the standard of dining in the household, which for Prague standards was not above average, and to the variety of blown glass in the Prague market in the 14th century.
Hradiště Vladař u Žlutic (okr. Karlovy Vary) unikalo až donedávna bližší pozornosti archeologů. Článek shrnuje současný stav našich poznatků o této lokalitě a o jejím zasazení do přírodního prostředí. Zároveň upozorňuje na potenciální význam hradiště v mladším pravěku Čech. Vladař se nedávno stal předmětem detailních průzkumů a sondáží v narušených místech. Z popisu dosavadního postupu výzkumu a základní charakteristiky nálezů (především zlomků keramiky) jsou vyvozeny závěry o osídlení v období Ha a LT. and Vladař hillfort, situated close to the town Žlutice, western Bohemia, has attained only little attention from archaeologists until very recently. This contribution provides a description of the current stage of our knowledge of the site, its environmental setting and possible significance in the Bohemian later prehistory (Bronze Age, Hallstatt and La-Tène periods). Vladař hillfort became a focus site for a currently running research project; its actual progress, basic description of the finds – mainly pottery fragments – and some outline of preliminary results about Ha and LT periods settlement are given.
