On the basis of the refitting of chipped stone industry it has been possible to reconstruct and compare the reduction strategies of three prominent cultural complexes in Moravia during the Early Upper Palaeolithic. Thanks to such refitting, it is possible to describe the basic technological differences between the Bohunician, the Szeletian and the Aurignacian. and Na základě skládanek kamenné štípané industrie se podařilo zrekonstruovat a porovnat operační schéma tří význačných kulturních komplexů na Moravě na počátku mladého paleolitu.
Na jejich podkladě jsme přehodnotili dosavadní představy o chronologické pozici magdalénienu na Moravě. and New conventional radiocarbon data have been recently obtained from the Groningen laboratory for several Magdalenian sites of Moravia. These, together with the dates previously known for the Moravian Magdalenian, have been converted into calibrated dates using the INTCAL 04 calibration curve. On this basis earlier conceptions of the chronological position of the Magdalenian in Moravia have been re-evaluated.
Výzkumem v jeskyni Pod hradem v Moravském krasu byla získána nevelká, leč zajímavá kolekce kamenných štípaných artefaktů (Valoch 1965). Předmětem příspěvku je revize určení a provenience suroviny části souboru kamenné štípané industrie, analýza plošně retušovaného bifaciálního artefaktu a zpřesnění chronostratigrafické pozice nálezových horizontů. Nová zjištění přinesla další podněty ve studiu chování člověka na počátku mladého paleolitu. and The research in the Pod hradem Cave in the Moravian Karst yielded a small but interesting assemblage of chipped stone artefacts (Valoch 1965). The article aims to revise the identification and provenance of the raw material of part of the chipped stone industry; to analyze a bifacial artefact, and to refine the chrono – stratigraphical position of the archaeological horizons. The new data brought further incentives for the study of human behavior at the beginning of the Early Upper Palaeolithic.
K dokladům epigravettienské kolonizace na území Brna-Štýřice (okr. Brno) přibyly v posledních letech další prameny k poznání zdejšího osídlení v období pozdní fáze mladého paleolitu. Cílem příspěvku je popis a srovnání veškerých dosavadních nálezů. Vzhledem k tomu, že v těsném sousedství stanic v Brně-Štýřicích bylo v minulosti detekováno několik míst s doklady přibližně stejně starého osídlení, zdá se, že oblast byla v období pozdní fáze mladého paleolitu opakovaně obydlována. and Additional evidence of Epigravettian settlement in Brno-Štýřice (Brno district) acquired in recent years has increased the inventory of sources available for gaining an understanding of the local settlement in the late phase of the Upper Palaeolithic. The aim of this work is to describe and compare all of the existing finds. Due to the fact that several locations with evidence of settlement of approximately the same age have been detected in close proximity to the stations in Brno-Štýřice, it appears that the area was repeatedly settled during the late phase of the Upper Palaeolithic.
