The agenda setting function of mass media became one of the most pervasive concept examining long term eff ects of mass media on society. Meanwhile most of the media scholars works have focused on the relationships of media agenda and public agenda in the last thirty years, there is lack of empirical works dealing with aspects of agenda building process so far, above all aspects concerning mutual infl uences of various media contents. Presented paper examine intermedia agenda setting of Czech national media. Based on quantitative content analysis it search the regular patterns of “media quoting other media” and contexts in which media refer to other media as a source of information., Tomáš Trampota, Vlastimil Nečas., and Seznam literatury

The article deals with developments of the Internet elections project in Norway. The project for the time being peaked with the 2011 municipal and regional elections, in which voters in ten municipalities were entitled to cast their votes over the Internet. The article firstly analyses Internet elections pilot projects and discusses results of surveys focused on key preconditions of the Internet elections within the framework of the digital divide concept. Furthermore, the article is concerned with results of the Internet elections in terms of several key variables: ratio of those, who cast their vote over the Internet depending ontheirplace of residence, party preferences and age. In spite of a high level of Internet penetration in Norway surveys and the Norwegian Internet elections have confirmed existence of two sub-types of digital divide: social divide and democratic divide., Miloš Brunclík., and Obsahuje seznam literatury
Málo známý je i zajímavý způsob rozmnožování čichavce líbajícího chovaného v zajetí, který zachycují fotografické záběry při nočním tření., This article describes lifestyle and the use of the Kissing Gourami (Helostoma temminkii), one of the labyrinth fish. These edible freshwater fish native to south-east Asia are occasionally seen in aquaristics. The interesting way in which the Kissing Gourami breeds in captivity has only rarely been documented by photos because of its night time spawning., and Jaroslav Eliáš.
Nastíníme i výhled dalšího možného vývoje., We provide information on the origin, biological characteristics and distribution pathways of the Himalayan Balsam (I. glandulifera, syn. I. roylei), one of the well-known alien invasive plants in the Czech Republic (Central Europe). We also explain the mechanisms behind the successful spread of the species and sketch its future development., and Hana Skálová, Jan Čuda.
Lipoprotein (a) [Lp(a)] is an LDL-like particle that contains an apolipoprotein B100 molecule covalently bound to a plasminogen-like glycoprotein, apolipoprotein (a) [apo(a)]. Epidemiological evidence supports a direct and causal association between Lp(a) levels and coronary risk. On the contrary, a few prospective findings demonstrate inverse association of Lp(a) levels with risk of type 2 diabetes (T2DM). The aim of our study was to evaluate the association of Lp(a) with indicators of insulin resistance (IR) and metabolic syndrome (MS), which precede development of T2DM. We enrolled 607 asymptomatic dyslipidemic subjects (295 men and 312 women, mea n age 45.6±14.0 years) into our cross-sectional study. Lp(a) concentrations correlated inversely with TG, AIP, insulin, HOMA, C-peptide, BMI, waist circumference, and number of MS components (p<0.01 for all). Subjects with MS had significantly lower Lp(a) concentrations in comparison with those without the presence of this phenotype (p<0.0001). Serum concentrations of Lp(a) in the lower (1th 3rd) quartiles of insulin and HOMA were significantly higher than in the 4 th quartile of these insulin resistance markers (p<0.001). Odds ratios of having increased markers of IR (TG, HOMA) and MS in top quartile of Lp(a) also indicate inverse association of Lp(a) with IR. The results of our study support an inverse association of Lp(a) levels with IR and MS that precedes overt T2DM diagnosis., H. Vaverková, D. Karásek, M. Halenka, L. Cibíčková, V. The article deals with relationships between human capital and social capital. Often is mentioned that presence of social capital is key condition of success investment in human capital. The article presents opposite view - investments in human capital are necessary condition investments in social capital (at least in individual social capital). The three main form of social capital (bonding, bridging and linking social capital) are described at it is shown when generating each form can generate individuals profit and utility - in each case individuals must also invest in their human capital. Investments in human capital can also respond to the situation when investments in social capital become obsolete or devalue., Petr Wawrosz, Herbet Heissler., and Obsahuje seznam literatury
Článek shrnuje dosavadní znalosti o druhové diverzitě, bionomii a rozšíření rodu Purpuricenus (Coleoptera, Cerambycidae) na území Íránu s dílčími poznámky o jejich výskytu a ekologii., The article summarises recent knowledge related to the diversity, bionomy and distribution of species of the genus Purpuricenus (Coleoptera, Cerambycidae) in Iran. Some previously less known occurence data and ecological notes are briefly mentioned., and Jiří Simandl.
Here we describe 16 novel microsatellite loci in the genome of the dragonhead sap beetle Thymogethes norvegicus, which were identified using a next-generation sequencing approach. In 40 dragonhead sap beetles from a population in southern Norway, we found 2-4 alleles per locus. Expected heterozygosity ranged from 0.18-0.65. Three of the loci showed significant deviation from Hardy-Weinberg equilibrium. After correcting for multiple tests, one pairwise locus combination displayed significant linkage disequilibrium. These novel microsatellite loci will be useful for future population structure, genetic diversity and conservation genetic studies of the dragonhead sap beetle., Oddmund Kleven, Anders Endrestøl., and Obsahuje bibliografii
